The CALL...
On Friday November 14, 2008 at 8:30 pm the house phone rang and it was our adoption agency. Lisa said that they had a birthmother in Utah and she was due with a baby BOY on December 4, 2008. We were so excited on this night and were expecting to leave to go to pick up our baby in Utah any day now because they told us that the birthmother was at 4cm but at home since she was not in active labor yet. We called our moms along with Jacque and Whitt to share this wonderful news of our baby and they were so excited for us. We also called a few friends even though by now it was getting kind of late. We just wanted to let everyone know our baby was on the way. Nobody could believe how fast we were matched since we had only been waiting now since the middle of August. I finally tried to go to sleep at around 2 am. All I could think about was this baby that was not even born yet. Let's just say I did not get very much sleep this night.
